From 1990 to 1997 Schmiddem worked for international design studios. In 1997 he set up his own studio in Berlin.
Berlin stands equally for radical change and a new departure – for reality and utopia. Berlin offers constant
stimulation and inspiration. These are critical factors for creating the reality of tomorrow out of today’s utopia.
The studio is located in Berlin’s “alte Mitte” (old center), five minutes walking distance from the world famous
Ku’damm. Here is where the Schmiddem team works on all sorts of projects, from re-designs to innovative
new developments to visionary concepts and studies.
